Rosana Reguillo

Researcher and teacher, Mexico

Rossanna Reguillo is a researcher in social sciences and a Mexican activist specializing in youth studies, the city as a social space, fear as a social construction and studies that cross disciplines such as anthropology, cultural studies and communication. She has a Master in Communication from ITESO, PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Guadalajara and the Center for Research and Higher Studies in Social Anthropology. She has been a guest professor at several universities in Latin America, Spain and the United States. She received the National Anthropology Award for Best Research awarded by the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) in 1995 and the Ibero-American Prize for Municipal and Regional Research awarded by the Union of Capital Cities in Madrid in 1996.
